The President Donald Trump wants to change the way Americans refer to cosmetics products.
The president is urging the Food and Drug Administration to issue a new name for cosmetics brands, The Hill reported.
The FDA is currently working on the new name, according to The Hill.
The Trump administration has called cosmetics the “flagship of the modern era” and is pushing to rename brands like Lancome and Estee Lauder.
It’s the same idea that President George W. Bush had for the brand name for the White House.
The Hill reported that the FDA is also reviewing cosmetics brand names for children, but it’s not clear if that’s the impetus for the change.
